The suit wall is all well-nigh business, they currently enable approximately 827 unemployed South African woman and men to start their own sustainable small businesses which have earn a joint profit of R33.7 million over the past year. Sapphire Corporate Solutions are excited to be one of the funders to TheSuitBank and squint forward to possible joint ventures in the future. Three projects currently make up this organisation; TheSuitBank – aimed at unemployed mothers who undergo a 2 year training programme, who quickly go onto unshut their own small merchantry by trading (mainly in the informal sector) in the suit they buy from TheSuitbank at discounted prices . This suit has been donated by major suit retailers. The ApplianceWall– aimed at unemployed men (preferably fathers) who moreover undergo a 2 year training programme that equips them with the skills they need to repair damaged and returned appliances donated by TheSuitBank’s retail partners, they then go on to unshut their own small businesses selling these repaired appliances Grow with Educare Centres Project – this project gets everything a principal needs to operate a successful sustainable school from resources (curriculum and equipment), to intensive teacher training, merchantry mentoring, financial management and operational procedures. We took a ‘bus’ tour through all the various teams, classrooms and warehouse that make up these projects. All in all it was a morning of unconfined inspiration, and one giving me the urge to get out there and help as much as I can in the future! We offer the women who join our two year programme an holistic minutiae programme which includes over 1000 hours of training and support with the goal that each women should earn at least R4000 per month from her business. We have five branches supporting up to 800 women who in the last year generated over R30 million in profits from their business. The journalists were Andrew Leopold, Denis Droppa, Mark Jones, Michele Lupini, Sean Nurse, Mark Smyth, Lindsay Smyth, and Janine van der Post. They each competed overdue the wheel of a standard 1.2 Polo. Volkswagen South Africa made this rencontre possible by towers and making misogynist eight race ready Polos. Sapphire used to be manufacturing visitor making windscreen wash, wax wash, engine cleaner and various other cleaners. From supplying the oil companies it branched out into promotional products. Graham Wooding got involved in 1987 and took Sapphire into the uniform supply. In those days we were just paid a fee to provide the warehousing and operational services. In 1996 Graham proposed to one of our main oil visitor clients that we take over the whole operation (our own suppliers) and showed them that by largest supply uniting management and wearing out the middle man we could reduce prices by up to 10 years. This specific oil visitor went to tender in November 1996 and Sapphire won the tender and went live 1 May 1997 on the new system. And the rest, as they say, is history.
